The process of painting with pigments with a medium of drying oil is said to be Oil Painting. Linseed oil, poppy seed oil, walnut oil are the commonly used oils for painting. By the tenth century oil painting was first used by Indians and Chinese to draw Buddhist paintings. But it becomes famous by fifteenth century. The process of making oil painting is mixing pigment with various color ingredients. Pigments may be any synthetic substance like sulphur, cobalt etc., and conventional tools are used for oil paintings and finger is also used by some artists.
Philip Gerrard, was one of the famous and familiar artist in the field of oil painting. His painting of fruits was one of the fabulous creations of art which was in perfect glow with natural looking of original fruits. Philip Gerrard was born on 1958 in St. Helens who was interest in art in his earlier days and now later he draw paintings of fruits with some old things left by her aunt.
